Need transport to the march?
UPDATE on the latest transport situation:
Due to unprecedented demand, all of our coaches from Sheffield to London are now full. But it is more important than ever to ensure massive turn out on Saturday. We'd love you to join us there!
OTHER OPTIONS FOR TRANSPORT:
National Express from Pond Sq, Sheffield: https://www.nationalexpress.com/…/…/coach-stations/sheffield
Megabus from Meadowhall Interchange: https://uk.megabus.com/route-guides/sheffield-to-london
Train from Sheffield: https://www.eastmidlandstrains.co.uk/
NB, If you can't afford the train ticket, please register via the Get me to the march website for a free ticket! https://getmetothemarch.co.uk/
WE WILL BE MEETING FROM 11.30 ONWARD OUTSIDE MARBLE ARCH TUBE STATION.
There are now 18 coaches going to London from Yorkshire!
PLEASE BE AWARE: When there are *that* many people/mobiles in a small area, expect the phone network to shut down until the crowd has dispersed (definitely the case during the October march, and it looks like there will be even more people this time!) – so don't expect to post to fb or Twitter, or navigate, or communicate via Messenger, WhatsApp, etc. Even normal calls may be unreliable. Text messages may be iffy as well, but are probably the most reliable means of communication.
Please use the time on the journey home to use FB, tweet, send photos, use social media etc to get out our stories everywhere about the March.
If you don't know London well, you may want to bring along a map of the area on paper (to help navigate back to the bus/wherever you need to be after the march) – or download a map of central London onto your phone the night before, so it will already be in the phone's memory.
